An innovative branding and data-catching tool for WaterAid

The Challenge

WaterAid is an international non-profit organization with the mission of bringing water, sanitation and hygiene to 38 countries.

The association sought to develop an innovative branding tool in order to enhance the engagement of young people who attend their events.
The tool was designed to improve the WaterAid experience at major sporting events and festivals. The project also aimed at recruiting new supporters into the organization’s CRM database and increase awareness around its projects.

The Solution

WaterAid regularly reaches out to their supporters through emailing campaigns in order to boost their involvement.

The organization conducted phone interviews with millennials in order to identify their motives in supporting the cause. The research showed they were keen to support charities and wanted to share these activities with their social circles.

WaterAid’s millennial audience likes to be ahead of the curve and to follow tech trends. These individuals are also likely to attend sporting events and festivals and enjoy being part of a community

The Numberly teams thought up an intuitive solution that is suitable for all kinds of events: an app that would send instant electronic postcards. The app enables users to materialize the memories made during the WaterAid Events by taking photos, customizing them and sharing them.

The Numberly teams implemented a system that allowed users to sign petitions directly while sharing the postcards. By checking a box, users could also agree to being contacted via email by WaterAid. The app is also an excellent way for promoting WaterAid’s ongoing projects online.
