Stéphane Bancel has been the Chief Executive Officer of the biotech firm Moderna since 2011, known for its Covid-19 vaccine. Before that, he was the CEO of French pharma company BioMérieux.
Moderna was founded in 2010 it develops drugs and vaccines using messenger RNA. Covid-19 vaccine was granted full approval for use on January 31, 2022, it had previously received emergency-use authorization in December 2020.
Not only known for his role in the creation of the vaccine, Stéphane Bancel is famous for his leadership style, using a relentless, collective and challenging environment.
